Sure! We are building Tease after spending countless months interacting with members of the non-fungible porn community. I met @polyannie (who is a pioneer in NFT adult content) several months back and she was sharing some of the pain points with existing platforms. Issues around moderation, being kicked out constantly, and the general lack of toolsets for content creators to be successful. Our north star is to make our creators successful. We decided that we were going to be the ones to build this category. And do it right. Tease is changing the adult entertainment industry every step of the way. We are building a place for adult content creators to be successful on a new decentralized platform.
We are a team of 4 currently. 2 Engineers, 1 Marketing and 1 Business. I’m the Founder here at Tease, alongside @ariel and @phillie. I am an engineer by trade and have been building software companies for over a decade of my life. My very recent one where I was CEO and Founder raised $20M in VC Capital, 80+ employees, and was operating in the restaurant tech space (it was also a marketplace). Ariel is our marketing lead, she ran marketing for a software company and does consulting for adult-themed production companies. Philie runs our engineering team and has an extensive background in building and scaling software companies. Trung is our blockchain engineer, seriously one of the most talented devs I have ever worked with. We also have a network of advisors, content partners, and associates who have been supportive from day 1 ❤

Can you tell us what led you and your team to launching on Starter?

We share a mutual investor with Starter. Got an intro to the team and immediately felt the value. Starter has been so supportive. Words cannot express how grateful I am to @Moonshotberry for her support, guidance and help. Starter also brings added security. They helped us with audit introduction, team KYC and general tokenomics strategy.

So let’s get into your project details.
I understand your area of focus is NFT porn. While many (probably all) of our users know what an NFT is. Can you give more clarity on “NFT porn”? What would be the purpose or benefit?

Sure, So we are effectively building a platform to allow adult content creators (say onlyfans creators) to directly connect with their fans around NFTs. Our project is split into two primary phases.
Phase 1 — Token holders will be able to cast votes on three different creator profiles — these will change daily, providing a fluid plethora of content to enjoy. The creator profile with the most votes will receive a sum of tokens pooled by the voters, and those whose creator candidate wins will be granted access to a limited NFT that will unlock exclusive content!
Phase 2 will be a marketplace NFT platform. Winning, verified content creators will be added to the marketplace. This will give the content creators a secondary source of income where they can mint the content they added during the voting game as NFT’s and sell exclusively on tease.fan. tease.fan will support multiple BSC coins for purchase but buying with Tease will add the extra benefit of a discount. By leveraging the token to offer voting, this is how we can solve problems of content moderation and curate HIGH QUALITY content.
Our vision is to be the best place for adult content creators to be successful. It’s a marketplace. But marketplaces have the chicken and egg dilemma. We decided to solve this problem in two phases. The first phase goal is creating high-quality content liquidity.
The ‘gamified’ mechanism also helps us tackle issues around content moderation, parental controls and etc.

Initially, we were going to build this on ETH but of course, with some of the scaling issues, we didn’t think it was practical to use. Our lead engineer has experience working on supporting multi-chain. We do plan to bring this to others, but we are laser-focused right now on getting initial success on BSC before we expand.

So we kinda glazed over this but I would love to highlight what you mentioned here.
@arielhwilliams do you mind telling us more about this interest from OnlyFans users? Can we expect some good ones?

Sure. We reached out to over a hundred OnlyFans creators, we currently have around 30+ signed up. We are targeting the top 3% of creators. The positive news is many already know about NFTs & crypto, and it’s piquing their interest to have a secondary source of revenue. We also have been in talks with one of the largest adult entertainment studios on bringing their content onto our platform. We will be hosting AMAs with them over the next few weeks on our Telegram to get to know the community better.
A big aspect of this is being able to onboard them with ease. Our product is going to help streamline it for them to port over content and handhold the actual creation of NFTs

So beyond these members, you’ve reached out to, what other plans do you have for increasing your token and project value?

We did not want to launch a token for the sake of having one. A lot of thoughtfulness was put around the token utility on the product. Besides the voting mechanism to win exclusive content. We also plan to make Tease at the centre of the marketplace ecosystem. Tease token holders will get discounts on the marketplace, we plan to offer staking for rewards and a variety of other incentives to increase value.
Another aspect of our product is offering subscriptions and tipping. We have not seen this done, but imagine being able to tip or subscribe for a limited time using crypto.

Why does Tease think the adult entertainment industry needs blockchain technology and how does building on blockchain technology give you an edge over traditional adult set up such as OnlyFans, clipsites, camshaws and others? Or do you think blockchain will be attractive to adult models and will they be open to accepting crypto payments which are speculative and can be unpredictable when compared to the stable FIAT subscription structure used by non-crypto platforms such as OnlyFans?

There are a few key benefits. First of all, our fees are much lower vs off-chain competitors. OnlyFans takes 20% from content creators (before payment processing), while we are targeting a 5% take rate. We can do this because the blockchain inherently removes a lot of legacy costs that we do not have to absorb. Also by leveraging blockchain technology there are no credit cards required and a certain amount of anonymity is provided. Secondly, blockchain presents unique opportunities for content ownership and privacy. Themes that are top of mind for many adult entertainers. Imagine giving the ability for a celebrity to leak NSFW photos for sale, but doing it in a way where the chain of ownership is protected and transparent. We can open an entirely new market for celebrities to tease content with the added security measures in place.

Hi all, great to be here. Energy consumption is difficult to calculate without the platform running at capacity. But we will leverage the latest cloud technology that will scale up and down depending on demand at times. This should keep consumption as low as possible

Does Tease have methods to prevent underage users from consuming your content like KYC or something like that?

This is a great question. A few things…
i) The initial phase of our product is a voting mechanism so token holders can vote in content. This gives a certain level of moderation and helps curate the best quality content.
ii) We are going to KYC the content creators. We have some ideas on how to make this a frictionless process. Remember, a lot of hand-holding is required to get them familiar with the technology.
iii) We will have one of those 18+ popups that you see in other adult sites.

Our decision-making process on what chain to build came down to two things. Our engineer familiarity and the ability for users to transact without high fees. We need to make it frictionless for both sides. We are planning to bring this to other chains though.

Is it possible for non-famous users to create content in Tease platform and What are the requirements for non-famous creators to create content in Tease platform?

In the beginning, we are going to control the content creator side. We don’t want garbage or unsafe content. As we build our pool of top content creators, the plan is to open it up. The first phase also gives our team insights into the content creator onboarding process.

On the security side and hacking, I will implement the latest layer 7 firewalls with intrusion detection and prevention, vulnerability scanning and machine learning. I will perform regular pen tests on all external-facing IP addresses and devices and most importantly testing the team with scam emails 😂 from myself

How will Tease navigate some of these regulatory provisions obtainable in jurisdiction of strict internet and cyberspace censorship, and how will it avoid litigations that might rise from content distribution and management?

We are LLC in a jurisdiction that is open to this type of content. In fact, it has been a haven for adult entertainment companies. Aside from that, we will be introducing mechanisms on our product to fight copyright infringement, similar to what you would see on a YouPorn and XVideos. On the content creator side, some form of KYC will be implemented. Because we are not opening this up for anybody to create content (yet), we have the luxury of being selective on who joins. Eventually, we won't be hand-selecting everybody, but at that point in time, our content pool and product will be strong enough to mitigate such concerns. We also are working with fantastic legal counsel on some of these issues :)

So before we wrap up our AMA, does Tease have any real competition when it comes to the NFT porn space? From my understanding, you will have a lot less regulation for creators, which gives you a competitive edge. What further steps will you be taking?

Great question!
Adult entertainment is a $100B+ Market. In the traditional world, there are many massive companies that directly compete and thrive. We don’t believe this is a winner takes all market. With that being said, our core competitive differentiation is adding a game element to the NFT marketplace. This massively helps us solve against, content moderation, quality content, and a fun mechanism to reward token holders. As content creators win the votes, we are adding their content to the marketplace, already moderated. Nobody has tackled it with this angle. Most competitors are either focused on payments or exclusively have a web page with random creators and no curation. Our aim is to host the highest quality content. This is an extremely nascent market and we know that we have to sprint to win.
